Freebooters are corsairs who specialize in organizing and directing a crew, and their talents are in high demand among sky pirates. Many freebooters work as independent agents, signing on with crews when they feel the urge to travel, and often moving on to new ships when their contracts end.
At 1st level, the freebooter can, as a move action, indicate an enemy in combat and rally her allies to focus on that target. The freebooter and her allies gain a +1 morale bonus on weapon attack and damage rolls against the target. This ability applies only to allies who can see or hear the freebooter and who are within 30 feet of the freebooter at the time she activates this ability. At 5th level and every 5 levels thereafter (10th, 15th, and 20th level), the bonus increases by 1. The freebooter’s bane lasts until the target dies or the freebooter selects a new target.
This ability replaces studied target and sniper.
At 3rd level, the freebooter can spend a move action to grant all allies under the effects of freebooter's rally a +1 circumstance bonus to attack rolls when flanking with another ally under the same effect. This bonus increases by 1 at 7th level and every 3 levels thereafter. It does not stack with the benefit granted by the Outflank teamwork feat.
This ability replaces sneak attack.
At 7th level, a freebooter can apply his freebooter's rally bonus to his checks to execute or resist Boat Raids and Boarding Actions in airship combat.
This ability replaces stalker.
At 11th level, the freebooter may use his freebooter's bond as a swift action.Â
This ability replaces swift tracker.
At 14th level, the freebooter may spend a tactical action to grant the next Shooting check made by his vessel one additional degree of success if it hits.
This ability replaces quarry.
